I didn't start A Salty Beach Clothing Co. because the world needed another t-shirt.
I started it because I needed a creative outlet—a fresh start—and something that reminded me every day that life doesn't have to be perfect to be beautiful.
Somewhere between sketchbooks, beach days, coffee runs, and local markets, this little dream turned into something bigger than I ever imagined.
Every design carries a little piece of that journey.
CHAPTER ONE
Every Tide Has a Starting Point
📍 Salt Lake City, UT
I was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah, so I guess you could say "salty" has always been part of my story.
Growing up, I was surrounded by mountains instead of oceans, but even then I always felt drawn toward something bigger. I didn't know exactly where life would take me—I just knew I was meant to explore beyond the horizon.

📍 Colorado Springs, CO
When I was a sophomore in high school, my family packed everything up and moved to Colorado.
If you've ever been a teenager forced to leave behind your friends, your routine, and basically your entire world... you know exactly how that feels.
Colorado gave me incredible memories, but deep down I always knew I wasn't meant for snowy mornings and mountain winters. My heart kept drifting toward the coast.

📍 Palm City, FL
The moment I was old enough to make my own decisions, I headed east.
I traded mountain views for salt air, palm trees, and sunrise walks on the beach—and I've never looked back.
Florida became more than just home.
It became the place where I rediscovered myself.
It's where this brand was born.

CHAPTER TWO
Creativity Was Always the Plan
A business wasn't the dream. Creating was.
Ever since I was little, I was always making something.
If you remember the duct tape wallet era... I was fully committed. Pens, wallets, keychains—you name it, I was probably selling it out of my backpack. I loved taking ordinary things and turning them into something people wanted to own.
Looking back, I guess A Salty Beach Clothing Co. started long before I ever printed my first t-shirt.
I've never really been someone who could sit still. If I'm not creating something, my brain is already dreaming up the next idea.
That curiosity never went away—it just grew up with me.
Then life happened.
College. Jobs. Responsibilities.
The whole "adulting" thing.
Like a lot of people, creativity slowly got pushed to the back burner while life took over.
But it never disappeared. It just waited.
The beginning of something bigger.
When I finally started A Salty Beach Clothing Co., it wasn't because I wanted to start another clothing brand.
It was because I needed a place to create again.
A place where my ideas could finally have somewhere to live.
Every design started as a random thought, a sarcastic joke, a sunset that made me stop, or a feeling I couldn't quite explain.
Those little moments slowly became this brand.
CHAPTER THREE
Finding My Shore
"Sometimes the place you need isn't where you started—it's where you finally feel at home."
For a long time, I felt like I was just trying to keep my head above water.
Life wasn't always easy, and like so many people, I found myself carrying more than anyone could see. Anxiety. Depression. Bipolar disorder. Some days it felt like I was fighting waves no one else noticed.
But somewhere along the way, I learned something important:
Sometimes healing isn't about fixing yourself.
Sometimes it's about finding the place where you can finally breathe.
Florida changed everything.
When my husband and I made the move to Florida's Treasure Coast, it wasn't just a change of address.
It was a fresh start.
The salty air, warm mornings, endless sunsets, and sand beneath my feet became the reset I didn't know I needed.
For the first time in a long time, I felt like I was exactly where I was supposed to be.
The beach became my therapy.
There's something about sitting by the water that quiets the noise.
Ideas come easier.
The pressure fades.
Life slows down.
Some of my favorite designs were born during sunrise coffee walks, beach drives, or watching the sky turn orange over the ocean.
This brand became my creative outlet, but it also became part of my healing.
CHAPTER FOUR
More than something you wear. It’s a feeling you take with you.
A Salty Beach Clothing Co. was never meant to be just another beach brand.
It was built from all the little things that make life near the water feel different—the first sip of coffee on a slow morning, windows down on the way to the coast, sandy feet, hidden beach towns, dockside afternoons, and sunsets you stay just a little longer to watch.
Those are the moments behind what we create.
Every piece is designed to feel like a little reminder of the coast, even when you're nowhere near it. Something that feels lived-in, tells a story, and brings you back to the places and moments that make you feel most like yourself.
Made for wherever the salt takes you.
For the coffee-before-crowds people.
The sunset chasers.
The hidden-gem hunters.
The dockside regulars.
The ones who take the long way home because the sky looks too good not to.
And anyone who feels just a little more at home where the land meets the sea.

Because somewhere along this journey, I realized this brand isn't only my story anymore.
